A 4,000 kg scissor lift on castors. It gives 1,000 mm of working height, then rolls into a corner when the bay is needed for something else — which is the realistic answer for a workshop that cannot dedicate floor space.

Read this before you buy it

It lifts to 1,000 mm, not to standing height. That is enough for brakes, tyres, suspension and bodywork on a low car; it is not enough to walk under. Move the lift only when it is unloaded and lowered — raise it to the high position to take the weight off the rollers before you push, exactly as the manual describes. A movable lift on a sloping or jointed floor will not sit level; check your floor first.
