Staircase wall is plasterboard over studs. The rail feels solid in the studs, but the middle fixings worry me. Anyone solved this with toggles or a backing strip?
For context: installed for my mother after her hip operation, so it has to take real weight, not just balance help.
For a load-bearing install we recommend an 18 mm plywood backing strip screwed to the studs, then the rail into the strip at every hole. Toggles alone are fine for balance aid, not for full body weight. If you send us a photo of the wall, we mark the fixing points for you before you drill.

Calibrated mine against a shop reference after ~400 uses: max deviation 1.8 % across 40–180 Nm, still inside the ±3 % spec. My routine: always wound back to lowest scale, never dropped, stored in the case. The click is still crisp.
Conclusion for the doubters: the calibration certificate it ships with is not just paper.

Tractors, trailers, occasional rusted anything. Cr-V steel is claimed, but how does it hold up to impact-driver abuse and salt over winter? Not looking for aircraft-grade, just honest durability.
Two winters on mine: the chrome held, one 19 mm socket deformed slightly after I cheated on a seized hub bolt with an impact gun — my fault, not the steel's. For hand and breaker-bar work it is honest kit. Wipe with oil film before winter storage and it stays clean.

Mounted two mag rails on a steel van shelf with countersunk M6 bolts every 150 mm, then tested on rough mountain roads for a year. Nothing shifted, nothing scratched. The trick: 2 mm rubber strip underneath — stops the mag from walking and kills the rattle.
Measurements and drilling template can be downloaded from our club folder — ask by e-mail and we send the PDF.
Great pattern — thank you. We added your rubber-strip note to the product page fitting tips.

Load ratings are quoted two ways and only one of them matters in daily use. Here is how to size a rack, and the three measurements people forget before ordering.
Duty paid sounds like a shipping detail. It is actually the difference between a price you can book and a number plus a surprise six weeks later.
Two checks decide whether an attachment works or ruins a Saturday: the connector standard and the maximum pressure rating. Neither is guessable from a photo.
