What it is for

A parts organiser is judged on two things: whether the compartments keep their contents apart, and whether the box still closes when it is full. The 12- and 24-compartment versions are stackable bench boxes for screws, plugs and clips; the 30-drawer cabinet is the one that lives on a shelf and is opened all day.

Buy by compartment count against what you keep loose. More compartments than you have sizes means empty drawers and a bigger footprint for nothing; fewer means the contents mix, which is the problem the box was bought to solve in the first place.

Specification detail

24 compartments in polypropylene with a matte black finish, removable dividers and a snap-shut lid on the stackable boxes. Cabinet versions have individual pull-out drawers on moulded runners; every version is stackable or wall-mountable.

• Transparent lids or fronts, so what is inside is identified without opening

Buying more than one
