What it is for

A magnetic strip solves the one drawer that is always a mess. The figure that matters is not the length but the holding force: a strip rated at 6 kg holds five spanners or one hammer, and a strip that is rated generously and then sags is worse than no strip at all.

The magnet is a full-length bar behind an aluminium face, not a row of small discs, which is why the load is spread along the whole strip rather than concentrated at two points. Fixing screws and wall plugs are supplied.

Specification detail

60 cm strip with a continuous magnetic bar behind an aluminium alloy face, anodised, rated to hold 15 kg. Supplied with countersunk fixing screws and wall plugs; the aluminium face is not magnetic itself, so it can be wiped clean without pulling the tools off.
