What it is for

Hooks are bought for one wall and one load. The number that decides the purchase is not the pack size but the load per hook and the fixing method — an adhesive hook rated at 4 kg per hook is a different product from one rated at 4 kg for the whole strip, and the second will fail with a coat on it.

Adhesive hooks need a clean, flat, painted surface and 24 hours before they are loaded; over-door hooks need a door with the clearance to close; a screwed rail is the only one of the three that is happy in a garage. The load figures are per hook, on the surface each type is intended for.

6 pieces in carbon steel with a black powder coat finish, rated to 5 kg each on the surface the type is intended for. Adhesive versions use a closed-cell foam pad and a stainless hook body; the rail version is screwed and holds more than the adhesive type.
