ProFix Folding Dust Masks, Pack of 20

What it is for

Respiratory protection is chosen by the contaminant: dust from sanding and brake work, mist from paint and solvent, or a spray from a pressure washer. A folding dust mask covers the first at the FFP2 level; a full-face shield covers splash and impact to the whole face, and is worn with a mask underneath rather than instead of one.

A mask only works if it seals. That means a clean-shaven face at the seal line, a nose clip bent to fit, and a mask that is replaced when it is damp or clogged rather than when it is visibly dirty. Keep a box at the bench; a mask in the stores is a mask that is not worn.

Specification detail

Supplied as folding FFP2-level dust masks in a dispenser box, or as a full-face shield with a polycarbonate visor and an adjustable headband. The shield is intended for splash and impact protection and is worn with separate respiratory protection beneath it.

• Folding dust masks at the FFP2 level for sanding and brake work
• Full-face shield covers splash and impact, worn over a mask not instead of one
• Adjustable nose clip and elastic band for a real seal, not an approximate one
• Box at the bench so a mask is replaced rather than reused
