ProFix Adjustable Shelf Support Pins, 24 Pieces

What it is for

The two things that decide whether an existing shelf still works are the pin diameter and the pin spacing. Cabinet shelf holes are drilled to 5 mm almost everywhere, but the spacing between the front and rear rows differs by manufacturer, which is why shelf pins are sold in sets with both straight and lipped pins.

Lipped brackets do a different job: they hold the shelf itself rather than supporting it from below, which is what you need when the shelf keeps sliding forward or when the side panel is too thin to take a pin. Both are listed by diameter and by piece count.

Specification detail

24 pieces in carbon steel with a zinc plated finish, for 5 mm holes. The pin sets cover the common shelf thicknesses; the lipped brackets take a screw as well as the pin, so the shelf cannot slide forward.

• Both straight and lipped pins, because not every shelf sits on a flat pin
• Stated pin diameter of 5 mm, so it matches the hole already in the cabinet
• carbon steel with a zinc plated finish, which does not mark the shelf underside
• Sold by the set, because two pins are never enough for one repair
