What it is for

A socket set is bought once and used for twenty years, so the questions that matter are whether the ratchet holds, whether every size you need is present, and whether the case keeps them that way. This range is organised by drive size, because a 1/4-inch set and a 1/2-inch set are for different jobs rather than better and worse versions of each other.

Everything is forged from CR-V steel and chrome plated, with a 90-tooth quick-release ratchet and a chamfered six-point socket profile that grips a worn hexagon rather than rounding it. Sizes run 10–32 mm; the case has a moulded recess per size, so a missing socket is visible before you start rather than in the middle.

40 pieces: 10–32 mm sockets on a 1/2 in square drive, a 90-tooth quick-release ratchet, extension bars and a universal joint, all in CR-V steel with a chrome plated finish. Sockets are six-point with a chamfered lead-in; the case is blow-moulded with a recess per size.
