What it is for

The combination spanner is the tool that gets used when nothing else fits, and the two ends do different jobs: the ring end for a nut you can reach squarely, the open end for one you cannot. A set only earns its place if it has no gaps in the range you actually work in — which is why the sizes are listed on every variant rather than left to the picture.

These are forged from chrome vanadium steel, chrome plated, to resist the corrosion that comes from staying in a van door, with a slim profile so they reach a brake caliper bolt without the ring fouling the hose. The roll holds each size in a marked pocket, so a missing 14 mm is visible rather than discovered mid-job.

Supplied as a 25-piece set covering 6–32 mm, in chrome vanadium steel with a chrome plated finish and a 12-point ring end chamfered on both faces. Packed in a roll with marked pockets; each spanner is individually hardened and tempered rather than case-hardened as a batch.
