What it is for

Bits are consumables and are priced like them — but a cheap bit costs more in the end, because a rounded tip strips the screw head and the screw then has to be drilled out. These are machined from CR-V steel with a torsional section that absorbs the shock of an impact driver instead of passing it into the tip.

The security variants cover the tamper-resistant heads you meet on workshop equipment and domestic appliances — Torx with a pin, tri-wing, spanner and spline. If you are not sure which one you need, send a photo of the screw head.

Specification detail

100 bits in CR-V steel, 25 mm and 50 mm lengths, with a torsional section for impact use and a 1/4-inch hex shank that fits standard holders and bit ratchets. Security Bits selection supplied in a moulded bit case with the sizes printed in the tray.
