What it is for

Star and Torx fasteners are used where a hexagon would round off — brake calipers, seat belt anchors, gearbox casings — which is exactly why a wrong-size key does so much damage. These sockets are a true, matched profile rather than an approximation, and the E-Torx (external) sizes are kept separate from the internal ones.

A Torx bolt with a chewed head cannot be undone with the next size up, so it is worth checking which series the vehicle actually uses before ordering. If you are not sure, tell us the model and the fastener and we will confirm the set.

Specification detail

12 E-Torx External sockets, sizes E4–E16, on a 1/4 in square drive in CR-V steel with a chrome plated finish. Machined profile rather than broached from round stock, so the lobes match the screw head; supplied in a rail or a moulded case.
