Wheel bolts, cylinder heads, suspension arms and gearbox housings all specify a torque figure for a reason: under-tightening loses the joint, over-tightening distorts it. A calibrated wrench with a stated accuracy of ±3% turns that specification into something you can actually apply, and the certificate is what lets a workshop show a customer the job was done properly.
Always return the wrench to its lowest setting before storage; leaving it set to 150 Nm for a year is how wrenches drift. This model has a locking ring precisely so the setting does not move in a toolbox. For professional use we recommend recalibration every 12 months or 5,000 cycles.
