A small cellar that needs the floor back

Wall-mounted shelving is the answer when the room is narrow and the floor space has to stay usable. Three shelves take 40 kg each, 120 kg in total, and everything needed to fix them — brackets, panels and masonry fixings — is in the box. Because the height is set during installation, the shelves can go around a boiler, a meter box or a tap rather than in front of them.

Fixing it is the whole job

The brackets carry the load, so the wall has to as well: we supply fixings for masonry, and on plasterboard or a timber stud wall you should use your own anchors rated for the load. If you are not sure what the wall is made of, drill a small test hole first. These units travel on the full-container lane, 45–60 days door to door, so order them together with the other heavy items rather than on their own, and settle on the wall position while the container is still at sea.
