ProFix Lever and Euro Cylinder Door Handle Set, 8 mm Spindle

What it is for

A door handle is chosen by its spindle size and its backplate fixing centres, not by how it looks. The spindle is the square bar through the latch — 8 mm on nearly all modern domestic doors, 9 mm on older stock — and the backplate holes have to land on the existing mortice or you are filling and re-drilling a finished door.

Latch, passage and privacy sets are not three finishes of one product: a passage handle has no keyway at all, a privacy handle has a thumb turn and can be opened from outside with a coin, and a latch set is supplied with the mortice latch itself. Measure the spindle before ordering.

Specification detail

Handle set on a 8 mm spindle with a 170 mm backplate, in zinc alloy with a brushed nickel finish. Spring-loaded rose rated for the weight of a domestic door; the set is handed and can be reversed on site with the supplied grub screw key.
