What it is for

Harness tape is not electrical tape. It is chosen for how it behaves inside a loom: a fleece tape absorbs noise and stays soft so cables do not chafe, a cloth tape resists abrasion where a loom passes through a bulkhead, and a high-temperature tape holds its adhesive near an exhaust or a turbo. Wrapping a loom in PVC insulation tape is the reason a repair comes back.

Buy it in the width your loom needs — 19 mm for a normal harness, 25 mm for a main bundle — and overlap each wrap by about half the tape width. Tape is the cheapest part of the job and the one the customer touches, so a neat loom is not vanity.

19 mm wide, 15 m long, on a standard cardboard core with a solvent-resistant adhesive and a hand-tear edge. Rated for under-bonnet temperatures and available in the fleece, cloth and high-temperature grades listed on each variant.
