Para qué sirve

  • Fleece and cloth variants stay soft, so the loom does not chafe through
  • High-temperature variant holds its adhesive near exhaust and turbo
  • Tears by hand to width — no knife near a live harness
  • No residue when unwrapped, so a repair can be opened again

What it is for

Harness tape is not electrical tape. It is chosen for how it behaves inside a loom: a fleece tape absorbs noise and stays soft so cables do not chafe, a cloth tape resists abrasion where a loom passes through a bulkhead, and a high-temperature tape holds its adhesive near an exhaust or a turbo. Wrapping a loom in PVC insulation tape is the reason a repair comes back.

Buy it in the width your loom needs — 19 mm for a normal harness, 25 mm for a main bundle — and overlap each wrap by about half the tape width. Tape is the cheapest part of the job and the one the customer touches, so a neat loom is not vanity.
