ProFix Automatic Spring Door Closer for Internal Doors

What it is for

A door closer is specified by the weight and width of the door, not by its own size. A closer sized for a 60 kg leaf will not hold a 90 kg fire door shut against the latch, and one sized for a 90 kg leaf will slam a light door no matter how far the valve is adjusted.

The overhead hydraulic type is the adjustable one and should be used wherever the door weight is not known for certain; the spring type is for a light internal door that only has to swing shut. Stops are the simpler half of the same problem — keeping a door from the wall or from swinging back into a shin.
