ProFix 500-Piece Wood Screw Assortment, 4 × 30 to 5 × 70 mm

What it is for

Almost every screw box that gets returned was bought in the wrong quantity or the wrong length rather than because the screws were soft. An assortment is only useful if it covers the lengths a job actually consumes, and 4 × 40 mm runs out long before 5 × 70 mm does — so these mixes are weighted towards the common lengths, and the count and the range are printed on the front of the case.

These are zinc plated countersunk screws with a cross-head drive, for softwood, chipboard and general fixing with a wall plug. The lidded case has one compartment per length and the quantity printed on the lid, so restocking is a matter of reading it rather than counting what is left.
