ProFix 2:1 Ratio Heat Shrink Tubing, 560-piece set

What it is for

Heat shrink is the difference between a joint that survives vibration and one that fails in a year. The shrink ratio decides how much of a size range one tube covers: a 2:1 tube fits a narrow spread, a 3:1 tube covers a wider one and is what you want over a connector that has to slide on. Adhesive-lined tube seals the joint as well as insulating it.

Choose colour and ratio by the job: black 2:1 for general harness repair, 3:1 adhesive for an underbody splice that sees water, transparent tube where you need to inspect the joint after shrinking. Apply heat from the middle outwards so trapped air escapes at both ends.

Specification detail

560-piece set of shrink tubing in a compartmented box, covering sizes from 1.5 mm to 13 mm internal diameter. Ratio and lining are as listed; the shrink temperature is reached with a standard hot-air gun, and the tubing uses a flame-retardant formulation intended for under-bonnet use.
