What to check before ordering
Three measurements decide whether a handrail looks fitted or improvised: the run length (rails are normally 80–90 cm above the nose of the step), the wall construction (masonry needs the supplied plugs; drywall needs a different fixing) and the ends (a rail that stops in mid-air needs a return to the wall or a post). This kit covers a 2.1 m run with five brackets; longer runs use two rails with a joining bracket.
Why steel, and what that means for the price
Steel is the right material for a handrail and also the material most exposed to import duty changes in the EU. We quote this item duty paid on our DDP lanes, so the number you see includes any duty — if duty rates move, the price moves with them, and we would rather adjust the price than surprise you with a customs invoice after delivery.
